boy pointing at styrofoam on the beach Our goal is to educate and empower people to pick up plastic and Styrofoam so it does not end up in the oceans.

Our educational, entertaining and enlightened presentations outline the major challenges with plastic in the oceans - and, we also provide a quick and easy SOLUTION and a CALL TO ACTION!

Funded by the Monterey Bay Aquarium Conservation Fund, funds are used to purchase trash grabbers to give away to schools and community organizations. By providing trash grabbers, everyone can pick up plastic and Styrofoam - everywhere and every day.

Ocean Helpers also organizes community trash pickup days as well as our classroom and school assemblies and presentations. We go beyond annual beach clean ups and encourage picking up plastic and Styrofoam all year long! Locations targeted for trash pickup days are community centers, public areas, abandoned and vacant lots, side streets, and around schools and shopping centers.
