Charlotte and Rex Burnett are featured on this DVD as are Ollie Edmunds, Paul Styskal, the Building Committee, Alan Coleman and Lee Rye, Elaine Jacob, Karel Metcalf and a surprise ending. Many of you will see yourselves on this DVD, walking in the parade down Highway One, attending the Ground Breaking Day picnic and participating in fundraisers.

Sue Blair says: "In 2001, when Bob Hocker was Gualala Arts President, I served as a member of a Gualala Arts Vision Committee organized by former President Bill Darling. As we pondered the future of Gualala Arts, my thoughts turned back, and I began to think that a record of past plans and achievements might be valuable to newcomers who would lead Gualala Arts into the future. It seemed like a good idea to interview the "pioneers," and Bob Hocker approved the plan.

I had no idea how to do general editing or how to add titles and music, elevate sound, use transitions, or enhance color, but I knew that such a project would force me to learn. With encouragement and offers to help from Bill and Betty Jane Darlingās children and grandchild who are professionals in the field of video productions, the years of trial and error began. The result is a history of Gualala Arts in 2 parts, each about an hour long. That is two hours÷reduced from eight hours of interviews!"
