On Monday, October 25, at 7:30 p.m., get an inside look at the creation of primetime dramatic shows-a process that is far more complex and pressure-driven than one might imagine. Focus will be on the organization of a production staff-then the numerous and diverse steps required to produce just one hour of nightly entertainment. Often the task seems impossible. David Moessinger has had a long and illustrious career in the television industry, wearing the hats of writer, director, and producer.

He was Executive Producer on many popular and acclaimed series, including Walker, Texas Ranger, Murder, She Wrote, In the Heat of the Night, Jake and the Fatman, Simon and Simon, Blue Thunder, and Quincy, M.E.

As an Emmy-nominated writer and director, he worked on such shows as Eight is Enough, Father Dowling, Knots Landing, Kung Fu, Wild, Wild West, Serpico, Kraft Suspense Theater, Mission Imposssible, Police Woman, and Police Story.

Mr. Moessinger also wrote the motion picture Number One, starring Charlton Heston.

He graduated from DePauw University in 1952 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He then served as an officer in the United States Marine Corps before beginning his career in television. Mr. Moessinger is now retired and lives in northern California with his wife.
