The Taste of the North Coast event returns to the Gualala Arts Center on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. This is an upscale dinner fundraiser to raise money for the Gualala Rotary Club and Gualala Arts.

The evening features live music, delicious appetizers, a three-course dinner, silent auction, single-malt scotch bar and an after-dinner cigar bar.

Dinner starts with a first course salad of little gem lettuce, pancetta, croutons, cherry tomatoes, micro basil and dressing. Entrée choices include: wild king salmon with pomegranate glaze, celery root puree, potatoes and wild mushrooms; roast lamb loin chop with huckleberry sauce, white beans, shaved Brussels sprouts, pancetta and crispy shallots; or a vegetarian wild mushroom lasagne with basil pesto. The meal wraps up with local apple galette with caramel sauce and local vanilla gelato. All beverages are included in the evening, including wine, beer, select cocktails and non-alcohol choices.

The Gualala Rotary's primary mission is to support education along the Mendonoma Coast. To that end, the club undertakes such events as the Academic Awards luncheon, providing dictionaries to every 3rd grader in our area, giving out college scholarship each year totaling over $7,500 and supporting the individual endeavors of various teachers which amount to over $1,000 annually. Proceeds from the fundraiser will support these programs.
