Gualala Arts is gearing up for the fifth Art Off The Wall party on Saturday, June 15, 2013, 5:30 p.m. in the Gualala Arts Center Coleman Auditorium; doors open at 5:00 p.m.

Art (and more!) Off The Wall: painting by Kathleen Sandidge This unique event has been very successful raising funds for Gualala Arts and providing a festive evening of great food and fun. Everyone particularly enjoys the excitement of waiting for their number to be drawn so they can choose either their favorite piece of art or a donated fun experience (such as everyone's favorite, a mushroom walk and champagne breakfast with Jeanne and Rick Jackson).

To make this event a success, we need your donations. Gualala Arts will need at least 110 pieces of art and/or non-art items valued at more than $75. The committee is looking for art you have created or purchased in the past, but are now ready to donate. Also popular are items of value that only you can offer, such as dinners, vacation rentals, jewelry, entertainment, etc. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

We're making the donation process easy for you:

Step 1: Call Susan King at the Arts Center, (707) 884-1138, and make a verbal commitment before May 31. She will ask for your name, phone number, a brief description of item and its value.

Step 2: Bring your donation to the Arts Center on June 1, between 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., along with the completed donation form. There is a section in the donation form to describe your donation and tell us about its history. We know every piece we collect has a story to tell, which will make it even more interesting to potential new owners.

Art (and more!) Off The Wall: hot tub The donations will be on display at the Arts Center for a week before the event, so everyone can pick their favorites in preparation for the festivities! There are two levels of tickets for the event. $30 pays for the reception, including food and beverages. The $70 ticket includes the reception plus a guarantee that you will leave with an item worth at least $75 that you select when your name is drawn. You may purchase tickets online at Brown Paper Tickets or by calling (800) 838-3006. To purchase in person, visit the Gualala Arts Center or the Dolphin Gallery.

Once all the numbers have been drawn and guests have chosen their prizes, the remaining items will be sold for half the valued price which stimulates a frenzy of buying! Adding to the excitement this year, all attendees will receive a door prize ticket when they arrive that makes them eligible for a drawing of fun prizes!

If you have any questions about the event or the donation process, please contact Susan King at the Arts Center, (707) 884-1138.
