The Taste of the North Coast event returns to the Gualala Arts Center on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. This is an upscale dinner fundraiser to raise money for the Gualala Rotary Club and Gualala Arts.

The evening features live music, delicious appetizers, a three-course dinner, silent auction, single-malt scotch bar and an after-dinner cigar bar. Dinner starts with a first course salad of local greens with candied walnuts, cranberries and champagne vinaigrette. Entrée choices include: grilled Covelo beef tenderloin medallions with mushroom sauce; grilled wild salmon with green peppercorn, ginger and orange sauce; or grilled portobello mushroom stuffed with spinach and goat cheese. Entrées are served with local seasonal vegetables, roasted potatoes and bread. The meal wraps up with sweet treats and local vanilla gelato.

The Gualala Rotary's primary mission is to support education along the Mendonoma Coast. To that end, the club undertakes such events as the Academic Awards luncheon, providing dictionaries to every 3rd grader in our area, giving out college scholarship each year totaling $3,000 to $5,000 and supporting the individual endeavors of various teachers which amount to over $1,000 annually. Proceeds from the fundraiser will support these programs.
