A juried exhibition of night photography, "A Little Night Music," will be featured in the Burnett Gallery at Gualala Arts Center from October 5-28, 2012.

The exhibit will feature night photography - both film and digital, B&W and color - using a variety of light sources (moonlight, streetlamps, flashlights, etc.)

The juror and co-curator will be Tim Baskerville, founder and director of The Nocturnes (thenocturnes.com), a Bay Area-based organization dedicated to night photography. The opening reception will be held on Friday, October 5, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Tim Baskerville, B.F.A., received his degree in photography and liberal arts from the University of San Francisco. He has been photographing at night for more than 25 years, and has taught night photography classes and workshops at U.C. Berkeley Extension in San Francisco and Berkeley, U.C. Santa Cruz, College of Marin, the Photographic Resource Center at Boston University, Rayko Photo Center in San Francisco and the Cape Cod Photographic Workshops.

Tim has written articles about night photography for Camera and Darkroom, the Friends of Photography with Nazraeli Press, and Photo Metro magazine. Tim's work has received many awards and has appeared in numerous publications and exhibitions in the U.S. and abroad.

Tim Baskerville will lead a workshop, Introduction to Night Photography, at Gualala Arts Center on June 3-4, 2012.
