Exhibit remains through November 14, 2010
Gualala Arts Center
Gualala Arts will present an exhibit titled "The Beauty of the Beast" from the opening Saturday, October 9 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. through Sunday, November 14 in the Burnett Gallery.
Animals have a powerful influence on our physiological and psychological well-being. Domestic animals comfort us when we are sad, sit with us when we are lonely, play with us when we are joyful. Farm animals clothe us, feed us and work the land with us. Wild animals connect us to the natural world and remind us that we are a part of it.
The beauty of the Mendonoma coast is enhanced by the sea lions of Anchor
Bay, the sheep on The Sea Ranch and the wild horses in Point Arena.
This show is designed to celebrate the animals with whom we share our
lives. We encourage artists to use all media, both two and three dimensional,
in this celebration of our world's wonderful creatures. To participate in this exhibit,
please fill out the
registration form.
This event will also be an opportunity to raise awareness about Redwood
Coast Humane Society (RCHS) programs and educate the community about animal care.
RCHS volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and dispense literature.
