Third Annual
Gualala Arts Center
Beautification Day

Tuesday, August 10, 2010
9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Summer is here and Art in the Redwoods is right around the corner. The birds are singing, flowers are in bloom and weeds are sprouting! It is time to have the Third Annual Gualala Arts Center Beautification Day.

Robert Holmes sculpture Bruce Johnson sculpture Last year's cleanup was an overwhelming success. We are going to build on what was accomplished with an eye on completing the new landscaping currently being done. New sculptures from Bruce Johnson have just arrived, Robert Holmes' sculptures need to be shined and the DePrima Terrace Garden is almost complete.

We will also focus on inside projects such patching & painting the walls in Jacob Foyer, Coleman Auditorium, Mohr Mezzanine and Burnet Gallery. If you have a special "clean-up" project you would like to help with, please come join us.

There will be three different work crews: gardeners, general cleanup and painters.

The clean-up day is Tuesday, August 10, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. You are invited to come for as much time as your schedule permits. Lunch, goodies and beverages will be provided throughout the day.

What do you need to do? E-mail Michele Marshall at geomichele@hughes.net to sign up for a work crew or call the Arts Center to sign up, (707) 884-1138. It is important we know if you are coming, so we can have enough food to serve at lunch. If you are not able to join with the gardening, cleaning or painting, perhaps you can make cookies, brownies or other goodies to share?

Thank you for joining us in making Gualala Arts sparkle.
