Hearts for Arts
a fundraiser for Arts in the Schools

Saturday, February 11, noon to 5 p.m.
at the Gualala Arts Center

Hearts for Arts illustration by PT Nunn Hearts for Arts, a fundraiser for the Art in the Schools Program, will again this year offer a joyous opportunity to prepare adults and children for the celebration of Valentine's Day. In the Hearts for Arts Marketplace will be booths selling heart cookies and candies, fresh flowers, artwork by local artists, tiles and card made by children with their drawings, and many other heart-related items. There will be a place for children to make their own valentines, take their own instant photos, have their faces painted and to play games. A family photo booth will offer same-day professional portraits. Food and drinks will be provided by the Culinary Guild and Goija's Hot Dog stand.

There will be an art contest for the children with prizes galore. Another contest, to design a logo for the Hearts for Arts festival, is open to both children and adults. More information is on the insert in this issue or you can pick up extra copies at the Arts Center.

Music will be provided by the Anchor Bay Children's Choir, the High School Band and the High School Jazz Band. The main raffle prize is a Tandemania Sport Mesa Tandem Bicycle, donated by Don Kemp. A collection of additional prizes with the heart theme will be on display. Raffle tickets cost $2.00 each, or six for $10.00. The drawing of the winning tickets will be held on Saturday, March 11, at the Fabulous Blendos Magic Show.

Located at 46501 Old State Highway in Gualala, the Arts Center is open weekdays 9 am to 4 pm, and weekends from noon to 4 pm. Please call (707) 884-1138 for more information.
