YOU are important to Gualala Arts.
Since 1961 it has been people like you who bring Gualala Arts to life. It will be people like you who will continue to bring quality and diverse arts to our community.
With mostly volunteer labor, your donations go a long way
in visual and performing arts programs, new construction, and maintenance of the Gualala Arts Center.
Together we celebrated our 50th anniversary of Art in the Redwoods in 2011.
Also, the extensive line-up of events included the very popular Art Center Theater productions, Global Harmony, Local Eyes, Whale & Jazz Festival, Lectures, world class Chamber Music, Culinary Arts, youth programs, visual art exhibits, festivals, workshops and the Auto Show just to name a few. Together we produced 118 Gualala Arts program events this year.
We had a successful year in completing building and maintenance projects.
We completed the elevator project on time and under budget, continued to develop the landscaping and grounds projects and started on some much needed deferred maintenance on roof and gutter repairs. We replaced fans, diverted water intrusions, removed hazardous trees, and painted bathrooms, foyer, gallery and auditorium.
The maintenance list continues next year with siding repairs, roof cap replacement, addressing foundation issues, improving parking lot lighting, moisture and mold control, improving drainage outside, and painting.
Now comes the important part. We need your financial help to continue!
Gualala Arts is well run and fiscally prudent. The building is mortgage free, the business operations are carefully managed, and volunteers donate hundreds of thousands of dollars in time, experience and labor. We are asking for your help, with a tax deductible contribution of $25, $50, $100, $250, $1,000, $5,000 or more.
You can and will make a difference through your generous contributions.

Did you know that current tax law allows you to make a tax-free donation to Gualala Arts from your retirement account? This benefit may disappear at the end of 2011. We also have a brokerage account that can receive donated securities, allowing you to avoid capital gains taxes. Please consult your financial advisor or tax specialist to see how these mutually beneficial situations can help us both!
On behalf of the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers and artists,
we thank you for your support!
We send you our very best wishes this holiday season.
In gratitude,
Dave Bower

Arts lovers can directly support the arts on their 2010
California Income Tax Returns. Funds go to the state
agency that provides arts funding in schools and local
communities throughout California.
Minimum donation: $1. If all California taxpayers
donated just $1 to the California Arts Council on their
taxes this year, there would be $15 million for the arts
for children and communities.
Contributions may be made on either the Form 540
or Form 540EZ, or through e-filing systems like
TurboTax. See line 415 "California Arts Council" on
