PPQG has held an annual quilt Challenge Show at GAC for over 20 years.  This show promotes the art of quilting in our coastal community by displaying a wide variety of quilts related to a central theme.  The exhibit will include various styles and sizes of quilts including landscape quilts, art quilts, traditional quilts and 3-D designs.  The primary medium will be fabric but may also include other media and embellishments.

Each year Pacific Piecemakers Quilt Guild (PPQG) challenges its members to create a quilt that fits certain parameters.

The 2021 Challenge is “Flying Free.” No specific style nor size is required, each entry can include:

• Inspiration can come from anywhere or anything.

• Members are challenged to apply the Challenge rules to stitch and/or quilt their own interpretation in fabric in one, two or three dimensions.

• Quilts to be exhibited include traditional, modern & art quilts, clothing, and a variety of styles & techniques.

• The show is not juried nor judged, so it encourages creativity at all levels.

It is always a great thrill to see someone new to quilting/art quilts show their work alongside long-time quilters.
