Instructions will include how to make rice, how to roll sushi and preparations for plates. The workshop includes an informational hour and then on to the kitchen.

This class will show how easy it is to roll your own sushi rolls at home. It’s fun and easy to learn and wonderful to share with family. We will cover the full range of sushi preparation: from the cooking of the sushi rice through preparation and hands-on rolling of the maki (rolls) to the presentation of the plating with edible leaves and flowers. Laura Leigh brings everything needed to roll sushi maki: cooked rice and classic sushi fillings: fresh organic vegetables and smoked salmon and avocado, wasabi, pickled ginger & soy sauce, etc. There will be a brief talk with information on ingredients and where to buy them to create healthy and beautiful edible art.  Laura will do a demonstration and bring a plate of sushi. It is so fun to roll our own sushi and sit down to a delicious lunch together in the last hour of the workshop. An enjoyable class for couples, parents & kids, and groups of friends. Laura loves to teach this class!
