Learn how to “make” a photograph  rather than just “Take” a photo. We will cover the technical <focus, exposure, clarity, lighting> as well as the Compositional/Artistic elements. We will also work with organizing your images and tips on post processing.  


Student Prerequisites/materials list: Camera, full-charged battery in camera, camera manual (if you have it), all camera gear you own, notebook, pen, lunch, water for drinking.


Susan and Neil Silverman are a husband-wife team who have taught and photographed together internationally and within the U.S. They have been leading their own workshops for over 20 years and previously taught for Great American Photography Workshops, BetterPhoto, Santa Fe School, PPA affiliates, PPC, B&H Photos, Pacific Northwest Art School, Gualala Arts Center, Santa Rosa Laguna, and the Santa Rosa Junior College.

Susan and Neil’s work has appeared as the cover of Outdoor Photography, in Elle Magazine, der Spiegel, Sierra Club, the Cure, the Audubon, Nikon World and more. They photograph extensively for the Santa Rosa Symphony.
