Movement Improv with Instructor Ruby Claire

There is no “right” or “wrong”, “perfect” or “imperfect”; there is only now. Movement Improv engages the present moment through body and spatial awareness, attunement to other movers, creative expression, and play. You don’t have to be a dancer to take this class. All you need is a willingness to show up with curiosity and a desire to move your body.

Classes are progressive with new experiential introduced each week.

Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a journal and water bottle.

About Ruby:

“While pursuing an MA in therapy I discovered that I’m a writer and performance artist. I love the avant-garde, the sacred and profane, and the utterly absurd. I also love the complexity of being human and being a multidimensional soul inhabiting a human body. I have a passion for engaging in art that transforms.”

Ruby is passionate about providing a space in which people are inspired to be their authentic selves, even if it feels “weird” or doesn’t fit societal norms. She holds a Master’s Degree in Dance/Movement Therapy and a certification in Expressive Arts Therapy. Learn more about her at rubyreveals.com
