This workshop will be taught in the tradition of B. K. S. Iyengar and all levels are welcome.
Instructor Janet MacLeod will guide students to work at their own level while exploring all areas of the practice of yoga asana: standing poses, forward extensions, backward extensions, inversions and twisting poses. In her joyful manner, MacLeod will provide insight into a well-rounded and thoughtful practice.
Janet MacLeod earned her certification as an Iyengar Yoga instructor in 1983 and continues to study with the Iyengar family in India and in the west and has attended many conventions. MacLeod’s teaching style is demanding on all levels; this combined with her ability to create a joyful atmosphere in class has a transformative effect on students.
MacLeod teaches classes to the general public in San Francisco and in the Teacher Training Program at the Iyengar Yoga Institute of San Francisco (IYISF,) and conducts retreats and workshops worldwide.
