Slab Tables and Stone Musings showcases the artistry of brothers John and Steve Crowningshield of Green-certified Mendocino Heritage Furniture Co. Works on view will be one-of-a-kind slab tables and photographs of stone musings (rock stacking) by Steve Crowningshield.

The Crowningshield brothers specialize in re-utilizing recovered rare and durable wood felled generations ago. Their furniture is unique in that each piece embodies Mendocino’s colorful logging history, including “sinker” logs lost in the local rivers on their way to sawmills between 1850-1935 and reclaimed from 1994-97.

True to their Northern California heritage, the Crowningshield brothers are involved in the community and environmental issues. They are also current members of the Artists collective in Elk. Visit www.mendocinoheritagefurnitureco.com to learn more about their artistry.
